How can I visualize growth compared to WHO guidelines?

See your child’s growth plotted alongside trusted WHO charts.

Updated over a month ago

Kiri helps you understand your child’s growth by showing their measurements on interactive charts that use the World Health Organization (WHO) growth standards.

🌍 What is WHO?

The World Health Organization (WHO) is a global health authority that has created widely accepted growth charts for children from birth to 5 years old. These charts are based on healthy children from around the world and provide a benchmark for weight, height/length, and head circumference.

You can learn more directly from WHO here: WHO Child Growth Standards

📊 How it works in Kiri

  • Go to the Growth tab in the app.

  • Your child’s measurements are automatically plotted on a chart with the WHO reference lines for age and gender.

This lets you see where your child falls compared to the typical ranges for children of the same age.

❤️ Important reminder

Every child grows at their own pace. Being above or below the average line does not mean something is wrong. These charts are guides, not judgments. Pediatricians use them as one tool — alongside your child’s health history, nutrition, and development — to get the full picture.

👉 Summary: Kiri plots your child’s measurements on WHO growth charts so you can easily see patterns and trends. Remember — the averages don’t define your child; they’re simply a reference.
