What are Insights in Kiri and how do I read the charts?

How to use the Insights tab graphs, switch Day/Week, swipe back in time, and open individual entries by tapping headings.

Updated over a week ago

Insights helps you move beyond single entries and see the bigger picture. You can switch between Day and Week views, swipe through earlier periods, open individual entries from a category heading, and export a pediatric report PDF when you want a shareable summary.

Start with the view that matches your question

  • Week view is best when you want trend direction, consistency, and pattern changes over several days.

  • Day view is best when you want to understand timing inside one day, such as naps, feeds, symptoms, or medication timing.

Move backward through time

Swipe through earlier days or weeks to compare the current period with older ones. This is especially useful when you are trying to answer questions like "Is this getting better?" or "When did this pattern start?"

Open the underlying entries

  • Tap a category heading in Insights to open the individual entries for that category.

  • Review older entries one by one if you want more detail than the graph alone can show.

  • From the entry list, you can swipe entry rows when you need to edit or delete something older.

Use Insights for everyday decisions

  • Check whether sleep or feeding timing is shifting.

  • See whether symptoms, medications, or temperatures are clustering in a pattern.

  • Look back before appointments so you can speak from a timeline instead of memory alone.

Export the pediatric report PDF

Use Export PDF in Insights when you want a shareable report for your pediatrician or for your own records. After export, Kiri opens a PDF preview so you can decide how you want to share it.

  • You can print, fax, mail, or email the PDF depending on your workflow.

  • The report may include sensitive health information, so email only if you are comfortable with the security of that method.

  • Make sure the correct child is selected before exporting.
